From our ‘Ohana to Yours,

As the year draws to a close, Manaʻolana International would like to take a moment. We would like to take a few moments, actually. First, to take a look back at the last twelve months, at all the growth, learning, and remarkable achievements we have managed. All of which would not have happened if not for the hard work of you, our esteemed colleagues. Next, to take a look ahead at what we want to elevate ourselves to this coming year. This is a process we enjoy doing at the end of each calendar year, a look back and a forecast for the future.

A Note of Gratitude

First and foremost, a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you. Your faith in our potential has been the driving force behind our success. In an ever-evolving business landscape, your decision to work with Manaʻolana International is a responsibility we hold in the highest regard. This year’s success stories are not just ours but a shared narrative of our collective vision and hard work.

This year has been a testament to what can be achieved when great minds come together. We’ve seen projects — both big and small — come to fruition. Like the Organizational Change Management (OCM) work with the State of Hawaii-Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, assisting with the build out of their Case Management System. Or the Continuous Improvement (CI) support for Hawaiian Airlines to improve their internal payroll systems and policies. And the strategic implementation support for the launch of the Digital Banking Program with First Hawaiian Bank. We also signed strategic collaboration agreements with Orbus Software, CertiProf, The Open Group and most recently, Project Management Institute.

These successes are not merely a reflection of our commitment as a project management firm. They are equally a celebration of your unwavering dedication and insight.
It’s true, every journey has its bumps. This year was no exception. We faced challenges that tested our resilience, adaptability, and creativity. Yet, these challenges brought out the best in us, thanks to you. This includes budget cuts from our partners and clients which provides yet another opportunity for Manaʻolana International to rise to the occasion and try to do “more with less”. As a result, some projects and funding have been paused or delayed until 2024. The leadership team is fully committed to transparency and will share open engagements, roles and opportunities. Overcoming these obstacles together has not only strengthened our relationships but also enhanced our capabilities and services.

Embracing the Future with Optimism

Looking ahead, we cannot wait to share what the future holds. This coming year is already brimming with new opportunities. Internally we have two exciting projects in the first quarter of 2024. First, our podcast will be expanding. We will be utilizing our networks to highlight some of the most exciting things going on in our industry. Next, we are unveiling a set of “fireside chat” style conversations. We’ll use this outlet to cover topics like Generative AI, Machine Learning and Large Language Models and more. The rest of 2024 will see other new projects, as well. A short-form podcast about different trends and topics in the Enterprise Architecture space. Our Manaʻolana International Training Academy. New and exciting technology and training partnerships. The new year is shaping up to be a big one for us.
Your feedback has been instrumental in shaping our approach. We eagerly anticipate implementing new and improved strategies in our future projects. Many of those strategies have come from people like you. People we rely on to do our best work. We are not just a company working for clients and partners. We are a team working with friends towards a common goal.

As we bid farewell to this year, we extend our deepest gratitude to you. Thank you for being an integral part of our journey. We look forward to continuing this wonderful partnership and embarking on new, exciting projects in the year ahead.
